And Experience Of Our Technical Team
David A. Glocker, Ph.D.,
Founder and President of Isoflux Biomed.
Dr. Glocker is one of the world’s
leading experts on cylindrical magnetron technology. He holds 29 U.S. patents
in key areas related to plasma treatment, cylindrical magnetrons and sputtering
processes. And he has more than 25 years experience in vacuum coating and
plasma treatment processes. He founded Isoflux in 1993.
As a group leader at Eastman Kodak Company, Dr. Glocker was responsible for developing manufacturing
processes for new products and scaling them up for production. He earned his
B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Washington and Lee, William and
Mary, and Clemson University respectively.
Joseph E. Miller, Jr.,
Vice President of Isoflux Biomed.
Prior to joining Isoflux in
2000, Mr. Miller was President of S&W X-ray Inc., a leading distributor of
medical products in the Northeast.
Under his leadership, S&W grew
into an $80 million-dollar company before it was acquired by a major medical
supply firm. Mr. Miller earned his B.A. in economics from LeMoyne College and
his MBA from SUNY-Buffalo.
Mark M. Romach,
Production
Manager at Isoflux Biomed.
Mr. Romach has 25 years
experience in vacuum coating technology in both R&D and manufacturing
environments. He also holds 11 U.S. patents. Since he joined Isoflux in 2000,
he has played a key role in the development and refinement of our equipment and
coating processes.
Before he became a member of our
technical team, Mr. Romach worked at Eastman Kodak Company where he developed a
number of innovative coating and surface treatment processes. He earned his AAS
degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from SUNY-Alfred.
Brent C. Bell, Ph.D.,
Manager, New Technology at Isoflux Biomed.
Dr. Bell has more than 20 years experience in R&D of coatings and holds several patents in this field.
Prior to joining Isoflux in 2007, Brent was responsible for product development and process design at Eastman Kodak Company.
Now at Isoflux, Brent is responsible for the development of drug delivery platforms for implantable medical devices.
Brent earned dual B.S. degrees in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University, an M.S. in Statistics
from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas.
Margy Lydon,
Manager of Business Development at Isoflux Biomed.
Ms. Lydon has over 20 years experience in the field of medical device coatings. Before joining Isoflux in 2009, Ms. Lydon was the General Manager of Angiotech BioCoatings Corp., which developed polymer-coated and drug-coated medical devices. Ms. Lydon began her career at STS Biopolymers, Inc. where she formulated numerous polymer coatings that were licensed to device manufacturers. During her tenure at STS Biopolymers, Ms. Lydon held increasing leadership positions in R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales and Marketing.
Ms. Lydon earned her M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and her B.S. degree in Chemistry from St. John Fisher College. She holds several patents in the area of medical device coatings and coated products.
